Thank you to the AA in Cheadle for raising £1250

aa-cheadleThank you and well done to everyone at AA, Cheadle who made us their Charity of the Year. So far, they have raised £1250, running in the Manchester 10K, with a Wild West Day, Book sale and other events.

Eversheds LLP

Sara Wakefield ran the Greater Manchester 10k run in aid of ManCCCf and Eversheds whom she works for kindly donated £250.

Ella Tyson & family

Ella and her family spent time on Paediatric Intensive Care unit and following their stay raised £200 towards ManCCCf.  A big thank you to Alice & Stephen (Ella’s parents) for their fundraising.  Stephen Tyson also participated in the Sponsored Sky Dive on the 11th July 2009 in Flookburgh well done to you all.

EFQM Team Brand-Rex Ltd Leigh

Thank you to the EFQM team from Brand-Rex Ltd in Leigh donated £50 in memory of Ben Sims.

Charity Golf Day

Well done to everyone who participated in the Charity Golf Day on 27 June. Leigh East Rugby team played Leigh Miners in a golfing competition. The event was held in memory of Ben Sims who sadly passed away in 2008 and raised £627 for ManCCCf.

Sky Dive - Saturday 11th July 2009

Staff from PICU & Sainsburys joined together and braved the 14,000 feet tandem sky dive.

Fortunately the weather was sunny and didn’t stop the sky dive at any point.

A big thank you to Francesca Nolan & David Stewart for organising the event and an even bigger thank you to all those who were brave enough to jump! You can still donate via their Justgiving pages.

Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride

pict1996-1bike-ride2Alan Leader and his team cycled from Manchester to Blackpool on July 12th in support of ManCCCf. It took them around six hours - although one of these was spent taking in the scenery, says Alan! For more information see Alan’s justgiving page.

They have spent several months fundraising at Alan’s workplace, with a non-uniform day, and a day at the races, which raised over £300.
